Our Discussion Board (DB) has been re-conceptualized for 2010. The goal of the refinements is to support more efficient, effective and useful peer-to-peer communication. The new approach will not require you to check the DB multiple times per week nor flood your inbox with irrelevant listserv-like messages. Here are the new key features:
The DB focuses primarily on one discussion topic per month.
Participants use the first 3 weeks of the month to share comments, suggestions, samples, examples and questions.
In the last week of each month F&A will present a free Mini-WebNR to summarize key compliance points and address any unanswered questions
Topic selection is based on user input from prior months, post survey questionnaires (PSQ) and timely compliance developments in the field.
February DB Topic: Active Treatment Part 2: Improvement Strategies
Guests: To broaden participation, the DB is free and open to both members and non-members. You can participate as a guest, by just clicking on the title of a topic. [Note: We sometimes have to temporarily deactivate this option to stave off spammers.]
To Register: We encourage registration to facilitate networking. Click here to register for the DB or go to the ‘Register’ link in the upper right hand corner of this window. Enter your name and e-mail address. Then enter a member name and password (at least 5 characters) of your choice.
Direct Networking: To communicate directly with other participants for sharing additional details or exchanging examples allow your e-mail address to be revealed. To do so, log in, and then click ‘Account’ > ‘Edit your member info’ and check ‘Show to public’
Faster Peer Response: If you would like more immediate peer input on an issue, use our specially coded member directory to locate one or more appropriate facilities. Then use that listing(s) to call a representative(s) or click on their name(s) to generate an ‘SPHCCollaboration Request’ for direct e-mailing.
Trouble Shooting: If for some reason your e-mail address is not accepted the first time, instead of typing it in, try copying your address and pasting it in. If that also fails, please contact us and we will enter the information for you centrally.
Shameless Plug:Please share your comments/ideas (Suggestion Box) and if you find this discussion board useful, let some other colleagues, especially your PI/QI staff, know about it (Pass Along Our Website). You can also sign up for a free 15-minute tour to help decide if you might like to become a part (Join SHCC) our growing collaborative membership.
