We were surveyed in February this year. During the data session we showed them the quality reports that go to the board….includes all the clinical areas. They are looking for evidence that you did something with the data….show progress. We use a red, yellow, green type dashboard of measures we collect. They also want to see that the data, good and bad is somehow shared back with staff….posters with graphs, etc. We have many departments that do “morning market.” That’s real-time data analysis. For example, the OR monitors room turnaround time daily and it’s charted on a board, so all staff are involved and have ownership and they can see immediately if there is a problem. They loved that.
